Project Maverick is a national security policy talent accelerator built to meet the challenge of 21st-century Strategic Competition.

Our goal is simple: build the policy team needed to win this race for America.

Our programming rapidly upskills undergraduates by teaching them the technology, economics, and political fundamentals of strategic competition, working through weekly classes, guest lectures, and developing students’ professional networks within the national security enterprise. 

Students are also placed into policy cells, working closely with a mentor to tackle a real-world national security problem set and deliver products of strategic impact at speed and scale. 

Finally, Project Maverick seeks to support the early professional development of students, connecting them to opportunities, internships, and networks in the national security enterprise that will support them in their careers ahead.

Now more than ever, we need new policy talent to help America win strategic competition. We must build a new generation of policy hackers who understand the elements of strategic competition, policy bureaucracy, and who can deliver the impact starting on Day 1. 

Project Maverick will rapidly deliver on this. We will win.
